Coach
Mary Kennedy-Beaudrie
Mary Kennedy-Beaudrie grew up watching her aunt row for Dartmouth and the United States. Rowing changed the trajectory of everything for her when Michigan State offered her a scholarship to row. “Gratitude for an education and a competitive spirit drove me to be a fierce competitor.” Mary broke and still holds records in both the 2k and 6k for MSU. She was nominated as a Pocock All American and was named All Big 10 Student Athlete 3 years in a row. She earned a spot on the U23 team during the summer of 2020 although she and the team never got to compete. In the summers while in college she coached youth rowing in Upstate New York.
When she’s not coaching she enjoys hiking, running, doing Spartan races, and traveling with her husband, Dan.
"Why I coach: I had a coach take a mighty big chance on me and I like to think it paid off. The rowing world changed my life. Each day I come to practice with the goal of helping another athlete feel like they found their place in the world."
