What makes our rowing club unique?

We offer just the right balance between the seclusion and privacy of an expensive camp  and the proximity of a mid-sized city with affordable lodging, restaurants, and entertainment.

With 15 miles of uninterrupted Flat Water , the Savannah River winds through a combination of farm country and undisturbed woods for 11 miles downstream and 4 miles upstream past the city.  In either direction there is minimal boat traffic.

Since 2007:  We have TWO 160 foot brand new  Connect-A-Docks.    This allows us plenty of room for crews to access the water.

Take a Tour of our Boathouse.

Our comprehensive facility has a Complete Weight Room with free weights, machines, and ergs overlooking the river in both directions.  And there are Bathrooms, Showers, and Locker Rooms

Teams can utilize our Club Room upstairs for video review and team meetings.  A television and VCR are available for use as well as tables and chairs.  Rowers can relax from a deck that overlooks the river from both directions.  Coaches can have daily access to an Office with computer, printer, and DSL internet connection.  Wireless internet is also available.

Other Advantages........

Team CapOur preference is to have no more than 150 rowers on site on any given day.  This provides a quality experience for our visiting guests.  Please register early.

Housing  There are several reasonably priced hotel options in the city and there are two hotels  within walking and running distance of our boathouse.  Please check our Accommodations link to get contact information, pricing, distance from boathouse, and maps.

Catering In addition to the numerous restaurants within walking distance of downtown hotels, we have a local caterer who specializes in preparing meals for visiting teams. Many teams choose this option to save time.  Please check our catering link to get more information.

Pricing.  Our fees for use of the boathouse and our docks are competitive against ANY Spring Break and Winter Training Location in the country.  We charge a flat fee of $2.75 per rower per day.

Regatta Discount.  Dates for year 2008.  Teams that train in Augusta during March 10 through March 17 will receive a 25% discount on their entry fees if they participate in the 25th Annual Augusta Invitational Regatta on March 15, 2008.  Langley Pond has a  seven lane fully buoyed course on an enclosed body of water.
