  ABOUT MASTERS ROWING

Welcome to the Augusta Masters Rowing webpage. This source provides information for adults in the CSRA that are interested in the sport of rowing. The Augusta Rowing Club has supported a rowing program for adults over the past twenty years. This program is a non-profit member-run organization open to both men and women of all ages. Masters race in categories based on age, from mid-twenties on into your eighties!

ANYONE CAN LEARN HOW TO ROW!
You do not have to have prior experience to become a member of the Augusta Rowing  Club.

ARC provides Learn to Row (LTR) classes for beginners. Classes run for 6 sessions and are limited to 16 members.  Taking a Learn to Row class entitles graduates to a discount on the ARC club membership.  LTR students are not required to become members, however, you must be a full member of the rowing club in order to race with the Masters.  Follow the Learn to Row link for more information and to sign up!

Rowing in Augusta is a year round sport with 2 main racing seasons, Summer and Fall.  Summer Masters races are typically 1000m (1 kilometer) head-to-head, which allows for athletes to participate in multiple races within a regatta.  Fall racing is longer, averaging about 5 kilometers.  These races are called "HEAD" races, and crews race against the clock.
