Welcome / About Us

If you are looking for information about rowing for youth between the ages of 13 and 18 in the Central Savannah River Area (CSRA), then you have found it. This  is a source of  information for current team members and their parents as well as families with high school age youth who are interested in the sport of rowing.

This site provides comprehensive information about who we are, why we exist, and how we operate.  If you are totally new to rowing, start with our Welcome Page and Frequently Asked Questions first.  Please feel free to explore our other links to the left as well.  You can learn about our practices, race schedules, coaches, equipment, and  the registration process.  You can find in depth information by checking out our Resource Library.  We encourage interested people to come to the boathouse to see what it is like.

Rowing is the ultimate team sport. There are no individuals, there are no benches, and there are no time outs. Teamwork and unity lead to success in this sport because there are no star athletes.

Many of our rowers have been awarded full athletic scholarships to universities around the country while others have used rowing to help get in prestigious schools like Princeton, Dartmouth, and Yale.

Many of our teams have placed in the national championships. Our nationally ranked programs have competed across  the United States in cities such as Cincinnati, Philadelphia, and Boston.

There is no previous experience necessary to join the team.  We will accept walk-ons throughout the season - contact the head coach, Jason Herold, for details.

Athletes Row.  Everyone else plays games.  Be an athlete.
