"As a strength and conditioning  coach, I prepare young adults to become athletes and to compete successfully against other rowing clubs and high schools.  While striving to maximize each individuals potential physically and mentally I emphasize the importance of teamwork.  I have found from my past experience working with young athletes that it is important to have team pride.  Here at the Augusta Rowing Club, our coaches take their jobs seriously and want the rowers to win medals.  There is always room for improvement, so until the day of competition, we are always practicing, conditioning, and rowing.  Some of the young athletes that I have had a chance to work with are in peak physical condition and can compete at a collegiate or even junior Olympic level.  Rowing is a sport that builds strength, endurance, and mental toughness."
